Public and Patient Involvement (PPI)

We are committed to ensuring that our patients, and their relatives and carers, are at the centre of our work.

To ensure that we continue to provide the very best patient-focused care and services that meet your needs, we want to involve you in our work. Changes to the way that we operate are often made as a result of listening to our patients and the public.

Listening to you

There are many different ways of getting involved in the work that we do here:

  • Suggestion boxes - around the Centre we have red post boxes that enable patients and visitors to share their comments, compliments and concerns
  • Friends and Family Test – Following NHS regulations, we will write to you after your care asking you if you would recommend our services to other friends or family members. Please complete the form - your feedback is really important to us.
  • PALS - our PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) is available to discuss anything that you feel we need to know
  • Patient Experience Feedback forms - please complete a form when you are discharged from a ward or have completed your treatment, as it enables you to give your views on the quality of your care
  • Become a member of the Trust - our Members play an active role in helping to shape our services – you can choose how involved you would like to be
  • Become a volunteer at the Centre - our volunteers are a really valued addition to our team of medical staff.
  • The Patient’s Council - are a group of patients, ex-patients and carers, who help give the organisation a ‘lay-persons’ opinion on decisions. They assist with surveys, speak to patients, relatives and visitors using our services, and proofread our patient information.
  • Patient Experience Feedback forms - please complete a form when you are discharged from or have completed your treatment. This lets us know your views on the quality of your care.
