Dorothy Williams from Liverpool was diagnosed with multiple myeloma - an incurable blood cancer - in 1996. It was a condition she had never heard of before and when she was first diagnosed she thought treatment would just involve some antibiotics. Now Dorothy has shared her story to raise awareness of myeloma and offer support and encouragement to others diagnosed with it.

Three former members of staff at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Aintree who passed away in 2022 have been honoured with colourful handpainted memorial benches designed by a local Liverpool artist in the specialist hospital's courtyard garden.
