Q. Introduce yourself…

A. #Hellomynameis… Lucy, I am a second year mental health nursing student and took the opportunity to enrol as a volunteer at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool as I believe helping patients is fundamental. Being able to help patients out with anything is one of my favourite things to and I am happy to help whenever I can!

Q. Why did you choose to volunteer at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool?

A. I chose to volunteer at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as I enjoy using my time to support patients when they need it most during difficult times and lending a helping hand.

Q. How do you think your role as a volunteer will contribute to improving patient care?

A. I think my role contributes directly to improving patient care because the extra help we give as volunteers can make a big difference for a patient and their day, on top of the quality care they receive

Q. What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

A. To take every opportunity and do what makes you happy!

Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you have to have with you?
