Your guide to leaving a lasting gift in your Will

Together, we can make a difference for future generations

Leaving a gift in your Will is a big decision, but it can be one that makes a very special and lasting difference to the lives of people with cancer, long into the future.

With one in two people now affected by cancer, the need for earlier diagnosis and more effective treatments for our patients goes on. Never has it been so important for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to continue it's mission, to drive improved outcomes and experience through it's unique network of specialist cancer care across Merseyside and Cheshire.

Once you've looked after your loved ones in your Will, leaving a gift to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity will help support the amazing work at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and will make a direct impact to local people with cancer.

Every gift we receive helps Clatterbridge to make the advances needed. We fund life-changing technologies and therapies, to pave the way for new treatments for people with cancer in our region. Over the years, gifts in Wills have enabled some key innovations in care, that have saved countless lives and brought cancer care closer to the people who need us.

Peters Gift

"Since I can remember I have always had an interest in science, in particular medical research, so I knew that this would be an area I would want to support in my lifetime and beyond when it came to planning my estate.

Having lived in Merseyside my whole life, I have seen incredible advances in the treatments that people with cancer receive at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. After attending an event led by the Charity and hearing first-hand from the Doctors who are leading pioneering research, it became abundantly clear, not only how important research and clinical trials are in developing new treatments for future patients, but how difficult it can be so secure funding for such research.

Knowing that my gift to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity will be invested wisely to enhance treatments for people with cancer in my local community brings me pleasure & comfort

I would encourage everyone to consider leaving a gift in their Will to a charity that means something to them, just like Clatterbridge does to me"

How do I include Clatterbridge Cancer Charity in my Will?

We recommend you use a solicitor to have your Will drafted and you just need to let them know you would like to leave a gift to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. If you already have a Will, it's important to check that any gift you want to leave to charity is properly recorded as any uncertainty over the cause can often cost time and ultimately divert funds from your generous donation to legal costs.
