The Clatterbridge Abseil - Terms & Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • I/We understand that this is a fundraising event and I/we pledge to raise at least the minimum required for taking part in the Clatterbridge Hospital Abseil.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable as they help the Charity to cover the cost of staging the event.
  • Participants must not attend if under the influence of alcohol. Anyone deemed to have taken alcohol or any recreational drug will be refused access to the abseil and a refund will not be given.
  • Clatterbridge Hospital Abseil is a serious event and participants should take every aspect of the abseil very seriously.
  • By participating, I/We understand that participation in this event is at my/our own risk and that the organisers cannot be held responsible for injury, accident, loss, damage, or public liability caused or sustained as a result of participation.
  • I/We can confirm that I/we have a reasonable state of health and fitness; if there are any concerns about my/our physical condition required to take part that I will consult with a doctor first.
  • Drones are not permitted, an official photographer will be available on the day.
  • I/We understand that The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity may take photographs of me/us participating in Clatterbridge Hospital Abseil and permit the Charity to use these images for promotional purposes. Please contact a member of staff on the day if you do not wish for any photograph to be used.
  • If signing for a young adult/child, I/we give permission for their photograph to be used.
  • Minimum participant age is 16. Any 16 or 17 year old participant must be signed in by their parent/guardian.
  • I/We have read and accepted the conditions of entry to Clatterbridge Hospital Abseil, an event created and staged by Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and Big Bang Promotions, and accept the rules and regulations associated with it.
  • We ask that participants with any health concerns seek medical advice before taking part and be asked to sign a non-standard waiver (on the day) - these may include;
    • I. High blood pressure
    • III. Heart condition
    • IV. Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy
    • V. Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes
    • VI. Asthma
    • VII. Prescribed Medication, this must be disclosed at registration to inform us of how this may affect you
  • The following points apply to ALL participants.
    • I. Participants aged 16 and 17 years old require a parent or guardian to be present, sign permission and will be required to complete a non-standard waiver
    • II. Glasses and hard contact lenses cannot be worn
    • III. Maximum weight limit for a solo participant is 120kg (18.9 stone)
    • IV. Waist harnesses fit waist size of 40cm (15.7 inches) to 125cm (49.2 inches
  • Any litter MUST be discarded yourself into a local bin, or taken home with you.

COVID-19

  • If you, or your guests, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you please do not attend the event.
  • Participants will follow any guidelines provided on the day by the team from Clatterbridge Cancer Charity if applicable.
  • All participants will follow UK Government guidelines set out and required at that time.
