Gynaecological cancer
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS): Gynaelcological Cancer ensures that patients with a diagnosis of gynaecological cancer and their carers receive written and verbal information on the management of their cancer and any symptoms, advice on treatment options and psychological support.
The service provides patients with the information they need, as they need it, about their diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.
The CNS is available to any patient at the Centre receiving radiotherapy, chemotherapy or attending for follow-up, with a diagnosis of gynaecological cancer.

The CNS can be contacted Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm on 0151 556 5134.
A telephone answering machine is available and calls will normally be returned within 24 hours during the working week unless the outward message directs otherwise.
The CNS not available at weekends or Bank Holidays but a trained oncology nurse is always available to answer queries.
