Profile

Dr Griffiths graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1998 and trained in medical oncology at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, before joining The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in 2010.

The subject of his doctoral thesis was the immunobiology of renal cell carcinoma and he maintains an active research interest in this disease. He is the principal investigator for a number of phase II/III clinical trials in lung and renal cancer and is the clinical lead for unknown primary cancers at Clatterbridge.

Dr Griffiths also runs the acute oncology service at Wirral University Trust Hospital.
