Dr Ali graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, University of London in 1993. He completed his oncology training in London (University College London Hospital) and Sheffield and has since held posts at Middlesex/UCL hospitals, The Royal Free Hospital, and Lister Hospital.

Dr Ali's is involved in multiple national and international trials in sarcoma.
