Dr Jane Younger is a consultant liaison psychiatrist working in psychological medicine at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre since January 2015. Before this she worked in the psycho-oncology department at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust from 2009 to 2014.

Dr Younger's undergraduate training was at Liverpool Medical School, graduating in 1998. Her post graduate training in psychiatry was in Manchester and she has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2002. She trained in general adult and old age psychiatry as well as liaison psychiatry.

Her current post is working with patients with complex comorbid physical and psychological health needs and she is particularly interested in patients’ long term mental health needs following a diagnosis of cancer. This includes an interest in psycho-sexual problems and psychotherapy.
