The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity has been chosen as a partner for the prestigious Liverpool Hope International Tennis Tournament.
The event, now in its 16th year, will take place on 15th-18th June at Liverpool Cricket Club in Aigburth.
It will feature Marcus Willis, who became the toast of British tennis last year when he beat Ricardas Berankis at Wimbledon to earn a Centre Court showdown with Roger Federer.
Marcus, a lifelong Liverpool fan, said: “This is my first year competing in Liverpool but after my dream run at Wimbledon last year I believe Liverpool is the perfect place to kick off my 2017 grass court season.”

The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity will have representatives at the event, spreading the word about the work being done to help patients from Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond.
There will also be the chance for tennis fans to contribute to The New Cancer Hospital Appeal which is striving to raise £15 million towards the building of a new specialist cancer centre in Liverpool.
Katrina Bury, Head of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be a charity partner for such a prestigious event and are looking forward to a really entertaining tournament.
"This is a big year for the Charity, as we continue with our Appeal to raise funds to build a New Cancer Hospital in Liverpool and we would like to thank everyone attending this event for supporting our Appeal."
The Liverpool Hope International Tennis Tournament has grown into the longest running and largest tennis exhibition in Europe featuring players warming up for Wimbledon, as well as legends of the game.
The event launch (pictured above) was attended by Elspeth Wilson, Fundraising Manager for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, and a host of ambassadors for the tournament including Everton legend Ian Snodin (seated left) and wheelchair tennis player Jamie Burdekin (right), who won Bronze at the Rio Olympics.
