Team effort wins April's staff award

The Brachytherapy Commissioning Team won the staff achievement award for April.

The team were nominated for working tirelessly to ensure the new HDR brachytherapy afterloader was commissioned safely in a timely manner with minimal disruption. This was a major piece of work and thanks to all of the team putting in the extra hours, a very tight deadline was met without any impact on the brachytherapy service. Team work played a huge role in this and the end result was a huge success. Also, one member of the team calculated he had walked 20km internally over two days to get the necessary measurements!
