Reminder about COVID-19 measures at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre

You may have read that COVID-19 measures are changing in some health settings. At The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, we have patients at particularly high risk from infections like COVID-19 so we will continue to keep our infection control measures in place.

This means that patients and visitors need to wear face coverings (unless medically exempt) at all times in our hospitals and respect social distancing. (Staff need to wear facemasks.)

So where possible please keep at least one metre away from others when in our hospitals – and our staff will do the same.

These sensible precautions – recommended by our Infection Prevention and Control Team and Consultant Virologist – reduce the chance of coronavirus spreading, as the level of COVID-19 in our community is still very high and we need to continue to keep people safe.

These measures will also prevent people passing on other respiratory infections, including flu, which can also make our patients very ill.

We would also remind patients and visitors that you should only come to our hospitals when necessary.

Please see our guidelines for visitors and chaperones here.
