Quality accreditation achieved

Posted 11th May 2018

In March 2018, our ISO 9001 certification body, the British Standards Institute (BSI) assessed the Trust as compliant with the latest version of the Standard, ISO 9001: 2015, 6 months ahead of the planned schedule.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised Quality Management System Standard that is designed to help organisations to manage, monitor and continually improve service quality.

The Radiotherapy directorate has been accredited to the Standard since 1998 and CCC achieved Trust wide accreditation in 2007.

The scope of certification covers delivery of Radiotherapy, Imaging, Chemotherapy and Nursing services. Compliance with the standard requires that the Trust demonstrates a commitment to quality and safety across all levels of the organisation and can show evidence of monitoring of quality and resulting improvements to the service provided to patients.
