Monday 13th Oct: Information for patients & statement on NHS industrial action

Posted 10th October 2014

The statement below explains arrangements for Monday 13th October in relation to a national four-hour NHS strike from 7am-11am by some health unions.

If you are due to attend The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre on Monday, please come along as planned unless we contact you directly to say otherwise.

Statement:

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust said: “We have well-developed systems in place and have been working with union colleagues to ensure patient safety and quality of care is not affected, while respecting people’s lawful right to strike. Urgent and emergency care will be unaffected and all patients’ essential needs will be met. Any non-emergency patients whose appointments need to be rescheduled will be contacted directly. Patients should attend their appointment as planned unless we contact them directly to say otherwise.”
