Let us help you beat the habit

As one of the UK’s leading cancer treatment centres we are committed to providing health and wellbeing support to our staff, patients and visitors.

Last year, we launched our #PROUD to be smoke free campaign with the commitment of becoming a smoke-free site.

To help achieve this, our on-site pharmacy – PharmaC - is offering a smoking cessation service for our staff, patients and visitors.

As a smoker the biggest hurdle is deciding you want to quit smoking. Once you have made this decision, PharmaC staff are on hand to help make the journey easier.

Three trained no smoking advisors are available to offer support and advice. In a 30 minute session the advisor will go through a support plan with you and talk through the alternative Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT) available – such as patches, inhalator, gum and lozenges. Following this, they will see you on a weekly basis to monitor how you are doing and to see if you need any additional support.

Burhan Zavery, Superintendent Pharmacist at PharmaC, said: “In partnership with The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre we are committed to becoming a smoke-free site. Despite the many and obvious advantages of becoming smoke-free, quitters often need the extra support to keep motivated and focused and that is where we can help. The NRT we offer helps prevent cravings while cutting out many of the dangerous chemicals contained in cigarettes but in addition to this we will also be on hand to keep you motivated and focused.”
