Our much loved Commissionaire Ted Dillon has retired after 25 years of exemplary service at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Staff were queuing out of the door to attend a retirement lunch held on Thursday for the former RAF man.

He was met with applause, kind words and well wishes from all in attendance including our Chair Wendy Williams, Chief Executive Andrew Cannell and Director of Nursing and Quality Helen Porter.

Ted was presented with gifts and a book filled with farewell messages collated by Patient Experience Manager Sue Relph.

The Commissionaire in post since 1992, bowed out on Friday 31st March 2017, his remarkable tenure has not gone unnoticed both here at the Trust and further afield.
