Clinical services on Monday 19th September - State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Posted 12th September 2022

We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and have issued a statement of condolence. We realise that patients may be wondering whether to attend our hospitals on Monday 19th September 2022, the date of the State Funeral. The nature of the cancer care we provide means it is important that our services continue as normal so that people can receive the care they need.

All clinical services at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre will continue to operate as normal on Monday 19th September. This includes services at all the sites where we provide care and our treatment at home service (Clatterbridge in the Community).

Patients should attend their appointment as planned.

If you have an appointment on Monday 19th September but would prefer to cancel or postpone, please let us know well in advance by contacting the number on the information you received about your appointment (e.g. the text message, letter or card).

Our Patient Hotline service will also operate as normal on Monday 19th September. Please call the Hotline team if you are currently receiving treatment from us or completed treatment within the last six weeks and become very unwell or need urgent cancer care or advice over the bank holiday.
