Clatterbridge-led urgent cancer care innovations showcased at NHS Providers Conference

Posted 15th November 2022

Innovative work led by The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is being showcased in a new NHS Providers report and at their annual conference which is taking place at the ACC in Liverpool (15th & 16th November).

Urgent cancer care is an area that sometimes gets overlooked by health systems. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is leading the way in tackling this with an innovative approach to urgent cancer care in partnership with colleagues across Cheshire & Merseyside. Governed by an Urgent Cancer Care Board, the programme aims to help patients avoid A&E and unnecessary admission to acute hospitals through earlier access to specialist oncology support.

Now our work is being shared in a new NHS Providers 'Providers Deliver' report on system working that has just been published (November 2022). We're also at the NHS Providers Conference to talk about it. If you're visiting the NHS Providers Conference, come & chat to us on the Providers Deliver stand in the main exhibition hall on 15th & 16th November.
